LSE to Merge Turquoise, Baikal
The LSE began speaking with the bank-backed MTF in late 2009 about a possible purchase (DWT, Oct. 5, 2009) and announced its acquisition of a 60-percent stake in the business on Dec. 21, 2009.
The LSE plans to announce who will head the integration project in February, according to exchange officials. However, it's rumored that David Lester, CIO of the LSE, will be the project lead.
