Dow Jones Extends Local Language Coverage

Dow Jones Newswires opened a new translation and editing desk in Toronto last week in response to demand for French-language coverage of the North American markets, officials tell Inside Market Data.

French Web sites, online brokerages and banks are interested in North American news because they invest in North American equities or realize that events in the North American equities markets influence French equities, says Michael Bergmeijer, vice president and managing director, international, DJN
