Nikkei Brings Web Product to US

Japanese index provider Nikkei is preparing to launch Nikkei Premium, a Web-based data and news product aimed at users outside Japan who need data on the Japanese market.

The product is based on Nikkei's Japanese-language Telecom 21 news database, which Nikkei claims to have licensed to more than 100,000 users in Japan. Only a small segment of Telecom 21 is currently available in English, but Nikkei was increasingly finding that users worldwide wanted data on Japanese companies in English, says
