Knight-Ridder To Switch AQS Delivery To Microspace's Ku-Band Network

Knight-Ridder Inc. is switching to Ku-band from C-band satellite delivery for its AQS commodity futures quotation service. The decision to contract Microspace Communications Corp. to replace incumbent network provider Contel (Equatorial) ASC for delivery of AQS stems in part from the scheduled decommissioning of Contel's West Star IV satellite next year.
