Bloomberg Opens Up? Same Dance, Different Partner

Bloomberg late last month reached an accord with Micrognosis Inc. to let customers access Bloomberg data via Micrognosis' Mips digital data distribution platform. Like Bloomberg's previous agreement with Teknekron Software Systems Inc., the latest deal requires the results of all applications using Bloomberg data to be displayed only on Bloomberg terminals.
The fact that Bloomberg reached a deal with a Teknekron replacement so soon suggests that the step towards openness -- even if small --
