CEC, Minus Comex, Trims Fees Some, But Net Cost Still Soars

New York's Commodity Exchange (Comex) has split off from the Commodity Exchange Center (CEC), and -- as expected -- beginning Jan. 1, will charge plenty for its own soon-to-be separate data. The three remaining CEC exchanges have cut fees slightly for the slimmer data feed -- but the 1994 cost of data from the four New York futures exchanges will soar as much as 63 percent over 1993 levels.
