Merrill Lynch Taps ILX Systems As Quote Vendor

The race for the huge Merrill Lynch & Co. retail quote contract is over. As expected (IMD, Nov. 6, 1995), the firm -- which had been searching for a new data provider as part of its so-called Trusted Global Advisor (TGA) broker workstation project -- has selected ILX Systems Inc. as its quote vendor in support of approximately 25,000 retail positions. Though no official announcement has been made, a source at Merrill says the firm has indeed anointed ILX as the successor to its long-time
