Desktop Data Inc. last month began offering delayed and real- time equities quotes from S&P ComStock over its NewsEdge news- management service.
Coupling quotes with news is hardly innovative. But when the vendor that now dominates the news-management market takes a step toward quotes, data vendors do well to take note -- if only as an indication of what the market will bear.
And the market will have more and more to bear. Both Quotron and ADP are in the final stages of integrating news
