Natwest Cancels Reuters' Triarch 2000 Development

Reuters Holdings PLC's digital data distribution systems strategy for the 1990s was thrown into doubt last month by National Westminster Bank's decision to abandon installation of TRIARCH 2000 in London.
The 400-position implementation, based on Sun Microsystems Inc. workstations, was to be Reuters' first for TRIARCH 2000, an upgraded version of its TRIARCH digital delivery system. Reuters lauded TRIARCH 2000's arrival in April 1988 with great fanfare. The system was heralded as the way forward
