Vendors Beef Up Offerings For UK; ILX To Jump In
VENDOR STRATEGIES
Competition among vendors in the London equities market is heating up with the two players who dominate the market, ICV and Reuters, claiming their enhanced and repackaged products will net them increased market share and newcomer ILX Systems preparing to launch its own UK product in October.
In the UK equities market, ICV/Datastream's Topic 3 is the dominant product with a market share of 65 per cent, ICV claims. Reuters estimates it has 50 per cent of the market, equal with ICV.
