PaineWebber's Customization Work Proceeds Apace; Broker Order Entry Next To Roll

PaineWebber Inc.'s efforts to customize its Quotron Systems Inc. Q1000 quote service are continuing at full speed as the firm enters the second year of its five-year agreement with the vendor (IMD, March 4, 1991). With a dozen applications already built and installed, next on the list is an order- routing and -entry facility -- being tested this week -- to allow PaineWebber's 4,600 retail brokers to send electronic trade tickets from their Quotron screens.
