Thomson Gives Web Access to Datastream

Thomson Financial has introduced Web-based access to its Datastream historical data and economic analysis product to make it easier for users to search the data and test investment ideas.
The new interface, dubbed Interactive Charting for Economics, allows economists and analysts to run charting via a Web browser on formatted reports created from "pre-canned" economic data sets that comprise more than 400,000 time-series economic indicators.
