Long-Time NASD Quarrel With Vendors Over Pricing Of Data Is Over

After what one National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) official has called a "story with the gestation period of a seven-year locust," the NASD has finally settled an acrimonious quarrel with several of its customers over the pricing of its National Quotation Data Service (NQDS). The new fee is established under NASD rule file 90-38.
For years, the NASD had been trying to tack a so-called value added charge onto the NQDS feed, a 9.6 kilobit/second feed that is redistributed by market
