HKEx to Build on Data Growth

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing is working on new market data initiatives to capitalize on a six percent revenue rise for the first nine months of the year.

Later this year or in early 2006, the exchange will increase the throttle rate of real-time derivatives information after a successful upgrade and market rehearsals, say officials at the exchange. Data vendors that carry the exchange's derivatives data were briefed on the changes to the throttle rate in August.
