Reuters Showcases NewsML Standard For Multimedia News Delivery
DELIVERY TECHNOLOGIES
NEW YORK--The International Press Telecommunications Council (IPTC) has approved NewsML as an industry standard for wrapping, storing and transmitting multimedia news.
Reuters is offering a virtual exhibit of the NewsML technology at www.about.reuters.com/newsshowcase. NewsML provides an extensible and flexible structural framework for the interchange of news content in multiple languages, based on XML and other industry standards and specifications.
