Advest Cuts Quotron Out Of News Delivery Loop

Hartford, Conn.-based retail brokerage Advest Inc. is using American Real-Time Services Inc.'s Corporate Information Platform to distribute market news services to Quotron Systems Inc. terminals located at branches nationwide. The news services, which are typically distributed by Quotron for a hefty premium, are delivered by Advest's Tandem-based ARTS platform to the 3270 port of each Q1000 terminal.
The system boosts the quality of services previously delivered by Quotron, Advest sources say. It
