Exchanges Show Mixed Results

Exchanges around the world continue to struggle with a shrinking market, showing varying success in keeping their market data revenues up, according to financial results that were released last week. Many exchanges depend on these revenues to support their overall business.

The Tokyo Stock Exchange revealed that revenue from market information services fell by around ¥80 million ($728,000) in the six months ended Sept. 30, 2003 compared with the same period last year.
