Kenny S&P Shifts To Oracle, Sequent For Distributed Database

McGraw-Hill Inc.'s Kenny S&P is revamping its systems to a UNIX-based distributed architecture, using Oracle Corp.'s new Version 7.0 relational database management system and Sequent Computer Systems Inc. The move will allow Kenny to migrate from a set of systems including IBM mainframes, IBM's DB2, Hewlett-Packard Co. and other servers.
The new platform will support the McGraw-Hill Municipal Screen, Kenny's pricing service and other Kenny services.
