Selectfeed+ Successor Has Capacity Of 60,000 RICS

Reuters is working on a new real-time data feed, code named Columbia, to replace Selectfeed Plus and Marketfeed 2000. Columbia's main improvement over these data feeds is a Reuter Information Code (RIC) capacity of 60,000 RICs, as opposed to 9,600 RICS on Selectfeed Plus. Columbia will deliver all data via broadcast satellite at a bandwidth of 1 megabit per second, along with interactive land lines--up from the 128 kilobits per second with Marketfeed 2000 and 168 kilobits, in most cases, with
