LME Defends Data Fee Changes

The London Metal Exchange (LME) is defending recent price hikes for its data feeds following a hostile response from some market data consumers and distributors.
The new policy, introduced at the start of this year, raises the monthly "location fee" (the price for the first user) for real-time feeds by 25 percent from £40 to £50, while the cost of additional terminals rises 50 percent from £10 to £15 per user per month.
But the introduction of a monthly fee of £2 per terminal for 30-minute delayed
