Reuters Launches RFTV Across Asia; HSBC, ING Among First To Sign Up
APPLICATIONS AND PRODUCTS
Reuters has been hosting launch parties across the region to introduce its Reuter Financial Television financial news service. Previously available only in North America, Europe and Japan (D&IS 5 June, 1995), RFTV can now be viewed on Windows-based PCs, video screens or plain old TVs throughout Asia Pacific. The signal is delivered via satellite to users' rooftop dishes, or, in those financial centres where bandwidth costs are not prohibitive, also via landline.
