David Jones--who quit his post as director of front-office systems at Midas-Kapiti International in Japan earlier this year (D&IS, 12 February)--is no longer missing. Jones has turned up as general manager for Sungard Capital Markets in Japan. Sungard has long relied on Mitsui Knowledge Industry Co. to distribute its deal-capture and risk management products in Japan. It's unclear whether Jones' arrival on the scene prefigures a change in that relationship. Jones hasn't returned calls.
