Salomon Brothers' chief information officer Peter Bloom has submitted his resignation. A Salomon spokesperson declines to comment on the reasons for his departure. Bloom didn't return calls. He also didn't get the title of global technology head, a job the firm handed last April to Mitz Kurobe, who was previously Salomon's branch manager for Tokyo. Bloom was a driving force behind Salomon's deployment of its global Unix workstation-based data and applications platform, and his departure comes
