Reuters Launches RMDS on Linux
TRADING FLOOR TECHNOLOGIES
NEW YORK--As expected, Reuters will be unveiling this week the core components of the Reuters Market Data System (RMDS) port to the Linux open source operating system, with general availability beginning Monday, Feb. 3, according to Reuters officials.
The port makes it possible for Reuters to offer its next-generation market data distribution platform on Intel Xeon-based servers that promise higher performance, say Reuters officials. For the past year, major global firms have been urging Reuters
