Soft Dollar Studies Due From Regulators, May Recommend More Disclosure

Two weeks from now a government committee will release its study examining the soft-dollar arrangements between brokerage firms and institutional money managers. The committee was formed earlier this year as part of the Labor Department's ERISA Advisory Council, and it has held five hearings already, the most recent of which was in early October.
