SAN FRANCISCO--ETrade has invested in Objectswitch and will use its products to roll out new services because Objectswitch’s transaction processing software is faster and more reliable than The Information Bus/Rendezvous from Tibco Software, Inc. (TSI), according to Objectswitch officials.
Objectswitch demonstrated to ETrade that its software, running on a single, low-end Sun Sparcstation, could handle 1000 updates per second. Tibco could process only 500 updates per second running across eight
