BT: RadianzNet Migrating to MPLS

NETWORKING TECHNOLOGIES

LONDON—U.K.-based telecommunications giant BT will migrate Radianz’s financial extranet services to an emerging networking protocol, once the deal to acquire Radianz from Reuters is complete, say officials who made the announcement last week.

As part of the forthcoming hand-over, Reuters bought out Equant’s 49 percent share in the Radianz joint venture in November for $110 million (DWT, Oct. 24, 2004). BT is expected to pay $200 million for Radianz.

Like other BT services, the existing Radianz IP
