Tibco’s Soon-to-Be-Launched Rendezvous TX May Eventually Replace ETX

LONDON--Tibco Software and Reuters will sideline the TIB Enter-prise Transaction Express (ETX) messaging system in favor of a new product called RV TX that extends the capabilities of TIB/Rendezvous.
ETX was Tibco’s first-generation transactional messaging middleware, primarily aimed at solutions based on Sybase databases. ETX is installed at major sites such as HSBC (TTW, March 29, 1999), Banca IMI (TTW, Feb. 22, 1999) and Goldman Sachs.
