Peter Bloom's next job has been determined. The soon-to-be ex-chief information officer of Salomon Brothers Inc. (D&IS, 9 Oct.) will take a post as special partner at U.S.-based venture capital firm General Atlantic Partners. Bloom held the top technology spot at Salomon until last April, when the firm appointed Mitsuo Kurobe as head of global technology. Kurobe was previously Salomon's branch manager in Tokyo.
