BELZBERG IS PROFITABLE, REVENUES STRONG

Belzberg Financial Markets & News International reports that revenue for its first quarter ended March 31 went up 74 percent from last year to $2.5 million (Canadian), which is also a 59 percent increase over 1999's fourth quarter. Belzberg states that profits were $34,732, compared with $878 a year ago. Belzberg raised $9 million from private placements in the first quarter.
