NEW YORK--Details for the upcoming Financial Information Exchange conference in Japan were being finalized at press time, with the date now set for Wednesday, October 7. The conference, which is the FIX steering committee's next step in promoting the global adoption of the FIX protocol, is expected to attract approximately 300 people, according to Jim Leman, managing director, capital markets division, at Salomon Smith Barney.
