AMEX Weighs Touch Vs. Voice For Electronic Order Book

As part of a move toward more automated floor operations, American Stock Exchange systems staff are readying two alternative input devices for order entry to specialists' electronic books. Touch will battle voice, with acceptance by the exchange's several hundred potential users the key criterion.
