Clarification: March 25 TST said Merrill Lynch & Co. won $100 million note issuance by offering to "do the deal" at 85 basis points over Treasuries vs. CapitalLink's proposal of 80 basis points above Treasuries. Merrill's bid was inclusive of fees: CapitalLink's wasn't. Merrill's subsequent resale of the securities -- at 70 basis points over Treasuries -- resulted in a slight price profit to the firm.
