ABN Nixes Marketsheet, Builds Own 'Datastation'

LONDON--ABN Amro in London has built its own front-end display system called Datastation, written to sit on Tibco's TIB/Rendezvous (RV) next generation, publish/subscribe, multicasting digital data distribution platform, while it waits for Reuters Trader Workstation (RTW) for TIB/RV.

Datastation was written by an ex-Tibco employee, now at ABN Amro, for the bank's equity traders. It was built using Tibco's Marketsheet data display toolset, including its scripting language. Certain ABN Amro traders
