Reuters Plans New PTW, Adds RT Applications

Reuters plans to release an upgraded version of its Triarch 2000-based Personal Trader Workstation (PTW) software in the second quarter of this year. The new PTW will offer access to applications currently found on the Reuter Terminal (RT) workstation.
Though the news appears to suggest that quote-display applications once available only on a closed platform -- the RT -- will soon be shifted to an open platform -- the PTW -- things are not quite as they seem. The new applications will remain
