Reuters, AVT Said to be Exploring Deals

LONDON--The electronic foreign exchange trading industry expects an announcement in the coming weeks of a deal between information and trading systems giant Reuters and niche FX software firm AVT Technologies.
Neither UK-based company would comment on the nature, or indeed existence, of the rumored discussions. However, sources close to both vendors have told sibling publication FX Week that negotiations are underway, and the vendors are exploring two potential scenarios.
