Users, Vendors Anticipate Heavy Traffic From Decimalization, Says SRI Survey

NEW YORK--While setting forth its plan for decimalization, the Securities Industry Association (SIA) also released last week a study that forecasts potential increases in market data traffic for equities and options trading as a result of quoting prices in decimals rather than fractions--the current industry practice.

With the SIA pushing to have decimalization in place by October of next year, the industry group commissioned SRI Consulting to do an industrywide survey of user concerns.
