Bloomberg Gets Bondtrader Support Of Morgan Stanley, Chase & JP Morgan

NEW YORK--Bloomberg is set to go live this month with its Bondtrader transactional service for US government securities. The system will be launched with the support of a half-dozen or so primary dealers, who will compete to offer the best bids and offers across the yield curve on the same screen.
Bondtrader has been in the works for some time (TTW, October 5, 1998). The launch will put Bloomberg in competition with Tradeweb, which offers dealers a similar facility for soliciting and receiving
