Abbey National Adopts Grid Computing
INFRASTRUCTURE
LONDON--Abbey National Treasury Services (ANTS), a branch of the Abbey National Group, has embraced grid computing for major trading and risk functions and is deploying DataSynapse’s offerings to support these core activities, say officials at DataSynapse.
Officials at ANTS decline to comment on the deployment.
Grid computing is a distributed computing architecture that helps firms better utilize their hardware by allowing them to remotely exploit via networking and software the unused CPU cycles
