Internet-Based Research Distributor EquityWeb Closes Doors Under Pressure From Thomson

EquityWeb, the Internet-based institutional research-delivery service, has closed its doors. While it never made substantial inroads into the market, it worried market leader Thomson Financial Services sufficiently that it filed a lawsuit charging breach of a noncompete agreement and misappropriation of trade secrets.
