Reuters Crows Over Earnings, Teknekron... Almost Everything

Following are highlights from the London press conference earlier this month at which Reuters delivered its annual earnings report. On hand were managing director Peter Job and finance director Robert Rowley.

Most of the news was good: Corporationwide, Reuters' revenue and profit each grew 20 percent in 1993, as compared with 1992. Reuters Americas grew like gangbusters, logging a 35 percent increase in revenue and a 212 percent increase in its contribution to the vendor's overall profit
