FIX Technical Committee Unveils Latest Upgrade, Crowded Meeting Indicates Growing Interest

NEW YORK--A Technical Committee meeting on April 1 at the New York offices of Merrill Lynch was the first public discussion of Version 4.1 of the Financial Information Exchange, or FIX, protocol. More than 150 attendees turned out to hear presentations made by FIX Committee officers who detailed the changes and enhancements made to the protocol in the latest version and outlined their objectives for the next several months.
