EDS Signs Whopping $700-$900 Million Deal With EBS
VENDOR STRATEGY
The EBS Partnership stunned the financial services industry with its recent announcement that it might pay outsourcer Electronic Data Systems (EDS) nearly $1 billion over the next 10 years to revamp the infrastructure supporting its foreign exchange dealing service.
But EDS insists that the agreement, estimated to be between $700 and $900 million, is not abnormally high, as it will be spent over a period of time in which the demand for technology is certain to change and increase, as Peter Lowes
