EBS BUYS OUT CICADA’S CONTRACT FOR MARKET DATA PROJECT
EBS has purchased Cicada’s contract to help develop EBS’ market data business. EBS, a consortium-backed interbank FX brokerage system, paid Cicada an undisclosed sum to break away from a seven-year contract it had signed with the market data and technology consultant last year. Cicada also laid off up to 20 staff members who were working specifically on the EBS project in London, Oklahoma City and Hong Kong. In a press release, EBS said its
