• The award for the dumbest act of 2001 proudly goes to a Reuters sales executive who also used to work for Bridge. Apparently, he thought it would be amusing to send a colleague over at Instinet a package containing white powder. Sources say the powder was ground up aspirin. It took Reuters two weeks to discover who it was and promptly sacked him. So far Reuters has outshone the CIA in detective skills!
