Research Firm Sells Stats On Unix Trading Systems

International Data Corp. (IDC), a San Francisco-based market research firm, has completed its second annual survey of the top applications -- including trading room systems -- running on five selected UNIX hardware platforms. The results attracted attention in the trading technology industry when Teknekron Software Systems Inc. included them in an ad in the Wall Street Journal late last month.
For calendar year 1991, IDC reports that Teknekron had some 44 percent of the market, up from 19 percent
