NEW YORK--Javelin Technologies will unveil today what it hopes will become the universal protocol for Internet-based securities transactions: FLIRT (Financial Language Internet Real-time Trading).
Javelin, leading the industry in FIX technology, hopes to take the same concepts used to propel the FIX protocol to market-wide acceptance and apply them to the broader world of real- time Internet trading. However, unlike FIX, the FLIRT protocol employs connection-less HTTP(s) as its transport layer
