EJV Brokerage Liquidity Is Low But System Has Cut IDB Fees

Two months after it went live, EJV Brokerage Inc.'s automated execution system for government securities is faring better than the ill-destined CHATS system on which it was based. But an informal TST survey shows that trade volume is still low, and that resistance to the system's voice- activated input option remains great. Nevertheless, the system has had indisputable success in driving down trading commissions charged by rival interdealer brokers.
