Marimba Sues Novadigm Over Patent; Novadigm Says The Suit Is Groundless

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--Marimba recently filed a patent infringement lawsuit against competitor Novadigm, in the latest chapter of bad blood between the two pioneers of push technology.

Marimba is seeking monetary damages, in addition to a court injunction against the production, use or sale of Novadigm's Enterprise Desktop Manager (EDM).

The Mountain View-based Marimba claims that Novadigm "willfully infringed" on Marimba's intellectual property as protected by US Patent No. 5,919,247, issued July
