Swift Close to Naming IP Network Providers

LA HULPE, Belgium--Swift is in the process of finalizing contracts with four un-named providers to provide IP network services for Swift’s messaging system, SwiftNet, according to Swift officials.
The industry-owned financial messaging provider needs these partnerships to support its secure IP network strategy (SIPN), say officials.
The new IP network will replace Swift’s legacy X.25 network protocol, which Swift will cease to support at the end of 2004. Swift’s current network is based on frame
